What will your Work Permits Direct scheme cover?

Work Permits Direct anticipate providing the following advice and services:-

UK Work Permit Applications (New Hires)

After an initial consultation with your dedicated consultant and the transferee, we coordinate
all relevant documentation and have this verified before submitting to the UK authorities. For those employees recruited especially from outside the UK, this process can take up to 10 working days from date of lodgment. Both transferee and the client are kept informed throughout the application process.

Further Leave to Remain

Required for all applications where the applicant is resident in the UK and has been granted a
UK work permit. This is lodged by the individual and can be fast-tracked. Again Work Permits Direct assists with the drafting and submission of this application.

Extension to a Work Permit

Required only on those rare occasions when a full five years Work Permit is not secured in the
initial case. The case worker will always aim to apply for a longer Work Permit than required initially to reduce the added cost and administration required to extend a permit.

Notification of change to employment

Required if a Work Permit holder is reassigned to another office or if the individual’s position
within the organisation changes considerably. This can happen due to promotion or
reassignment to another division.

Intra Company Transfer (ICT)

Required by overseas employees who are now required to work in the UK subsidiary/branch.
These permits are only issued to people who have worked in the subsidiary overseas for six
months or longer before being transferred to the UK.

UK Entry Clearance

Required by visa nationals to enter the UK for any period including transit visas through a UK
port. Work Permits Direct will assist with the complete entry clearance application. N. B. The case must be submitted by the candidate to the British embassy / High Commission in the individual’s country of origin or residency before travel is undertaken to the UK.

Fast Track Applications

Work Permits Direct has the ability to fast track certain applications, whereby we can turn around applications extremely quickly if required.

Worker Registration Scheme

This scheme applies to nationals who hold full citizenship status of the following accession states: Poland; Lithuania; Estonia; Latvia; Slovenia; Slovakia; Hungary; and Czech Republic unless exempt. Work Permits Direct can advise and assist in the process which is required in the first month of new employment..
