Points Based System - Employer Licensing & Sponsorship
Employer licensing & Sponsorship
The Points Based System (PBS) will change the way the economic migration is managed in the UK. Under the PBS, employers and educational Institutes who benefit from migration and wish to act as sponsors of skilled or temporary workers, or student migrants, will need a licence to do so.
The Border and Immigration Agency are responsible for the issuing of sponsorship licences and will do so by grading sponsors as A or B grade. This will also entail site visits and audits to monitor and enforce Immigration regulations and is the responsibility of the sponsor to ensure that the conditions of the UK Immigration sponsorship licence is continually met.
